Juhi Kulshrestha is a Ph.D. candidate at Max Planck Institute for Software Systems (MPI-SWS), Germany. Her research focuses on studying how users are consuming information on online social media. In particular, she is interested in exploring what sort of information diets are the users producing or consuming on social media and in evaluating what role is played by the automated retrieval algorithms, like search and recommendation systems, in shaping the users’ diets.
She is a recipient of the Google European Doctoral Fellowship in Social Networking and also a Google Anita Borg scholar. She holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Saarland, Germany. Prior to that she obtained an M.Sc. in Informatics and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics from the University of Delhi, India.
