Judith Möller

APS Fellow 2017/18

Dr. Judith Möller studied Communication Science, Political Science, and Sociology at the Universities of Düsseldorf, Vilnius and Amsterdam. She obtained her PhD at the University of Amsterdam in 2013.  In her dissertation she studied the influence of media on the process of political socialization of adolescents. Her research was embedded into the framework of the NCCR democracy at the University of Zurich where she was a visiting PhD from 2010 to 2011. Since 2013 she works as a Postdoctoral researcher at the Amsterdam School of Communication research at the University of Amsterdam.

She is a member of the Research Priority area personalized communication and the 2014 European Parliamentary Election Coverage Study. Her research focuses on the effect of technological developments on media use and political behavior. She is working in multiple interdisciplinary projects that combine legal expertise with empirical evidence to study user attitudes, persuasiveness of personalized media, and effects on learning processes.
